Job Title

RN – Perioperative Services – Surgical Short Stay

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift | Full-Time | Onsite | 4x8s or 3x12s available; start times of 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 12:00 PM; no set days; includes one weeknight call shift as needed and occasional weekend day shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established Standards of Nursing Practice
• Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care activities within the perioperative and surgical short stay setting
• Function as a Scrub Technician when needed
• Promote cooperation and effective communication among the health care team
• Participate in rotating call shifts including weeknight and weekend coverage as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) required within 30 days of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• One year of recent acute care RN experience in an operating room setting
• Familiarity with perioperative workflows and surgical short stay environments
