We offer a predictable, part‑time schedule (average 31 hours per week) with a consistent home hospital assignment. Position Overview We are looking for a dedicated Part‑Time Veterinarian to maintain clinical excellence and provide comprehensive emergency and specialty care. The role supports ER and specialty services across Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Surgery, Rehabilitation, and Cardiology. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups. Communicate with clients and educate them about care plans. Perform diagnostic procedures and surgeries. Maintain accurate medical records. Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols. Promote teamwork and staff efficiency. Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations. Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge. Monitor cases and attend daily rounds when possible. Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels. Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications (Required) Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution. Current State Veterinary License. DEA registration. 1+ year of experience in emergency practice. Strong diagnostic and clinical skills; excellent surgical and dental skills. Team‑oriented work style. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care. Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff and clients. Physical ability to handle moderate demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Advanced clinical knowledge in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, and neurological examinations. Problem‑solving and solution development for hospital operations. Effective internal communication with staff. Professionalism and constructive feedback.
