You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. About the role You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. The role works under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician for medical issues, follows bio‑ and safety regulations, and provides center‑level support for environmental health and safety. How you will contribute Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis results. Evaluate donor reaction(s) and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical or technical guidance. Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health or EHS. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats. What you bring to Takeda High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Current license or certification in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Location USA – TX – Houston – Richmond Ave U.S. Hourly Wage Range $24.32 – $33.44 The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, or location. The wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives.
