Registered Nurse

Starr Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in Athens, TN. In this role, you will provide direct, patient-centered nursing care across a range of acute care services, supporting our mission to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective healthcare to the community. As a key member of an interdisciplinary care team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients with diverse medical and surgical needs, ensuring that each patient and family receives clear communication, education, and support throughout their stay. The Registered Nurse will perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs and clinical status, administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policies, and document all aspects of care accurately in the electronic medical record. You will be responsible for coordinating with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and support staff to facilitate timely diagnostics, interventions, and safe transitions of care, including discharge planning and patient education for home management. Working in our fast-paced hospital environment, you will respond promptly to changes in patient condition, prioritize care for multiple patients, and escalate concerns using sound clinical judgment and established protocols. You will implement evidence-based nursing interventions, maintain strict adherence to infection prevention and patient safety standards, and participate actively in quality improvement and performance initiatives. You will play an important role in supporting emergency situations, including rapid response and code events, within your scope of practice and training.
