Solo Pathology Medical Director Opportunity

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their West Florida Division is seeking a solo pathology medical director to be based at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital which is located on the coast about an hour northeast of Tampa. HCA Healthcare Pathology Services employs over 200 board certified multispecialty pathologists nationwide and provides professional services to over 100 HCA Healthcare owned hospitals as well as commercial clients. Our physician partners are a key component to our success and we work closely with them to achieve the most favorable patient outcomes.

Qualified Candidates:

• AP/CP certification is required
• At least three years of hospital-based experience is preferred
• Active Florida Medical License and/or FCVS is a plus
• Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP
• The successful candidate must work cooperatively within diverse environments, have excellent interpersonal skills, and successfully establish and maintain positive relationships with hospital medical staff, technical staff and referring physicians
• Volumes approximately 3,500 surgical cases per year and 600 non-gyn cytology cases per year
