Pay: $16-17/hrLocation: DeKalb, Sycamore, Rochelle, Hinckley, Sandwich, Somonauk, Maple Park, Genoa, Hampshire, Kirkland, and surrounding communities.Job Type: Full-time, Part-timeWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate in-home caregiver to provide essential support to local seniors in need of assistance with various daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, light housekeeping, cooking, and especially companionship! This includes day-to-day housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing the dishes, making the bed, completing laundry, etc.Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the office.Engage clients in social activities to keep them engaged throughout the shift.Assist with transportation needs for appointments or social outings as required.Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress.Prior to working for our clients, all Home Instead caregivers-we call ours Care Pros-will go through specific paid training designed by Home Instead and will receive an in-house certification in Personal Care tasks. These tasks include demonstrating ability to assist our clients with grooming, bathing, continence care, and mobility. If you are not already deemed eligible by IDPH, then you will need to have your fingerprints scanned by a third-party vendor, at the expense of the employer. If you are need fingerprinting completed, the employer will notify you and help coordinate this appointment.All candidates must perform drug screening during new hire training. Drug screening is done in the office at the expense of the employer.
