RHRP Optometry Technician

Description Attention all Optometry Technicians: you are invited to work with us providing dental exams and treatment to Military Service members. We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of AR on an as‑needed basis. This position will work directly with patients, operate optical machinery, and interface with patient‑care software. Health Readiness Services U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) Army National Guard (ARNG) U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR) U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR) Air National Guard (ANG) U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR) Responsibilities Helping the optometrist with procedures and patient care Taking patient histories and maintaining the patient records system Assisting patients to select a suitable frame for their glasses Demonstrating care and maintenance of lenses to patients Repairing minor issues with broken and damaged eyeglasses Keeping the office organized and presentable, and making the exam room ready Testing visual acuity, depth perception, pressure, and pupil reflexes Requirements 1+ years of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography is required Experience with computers, including word‑processing, database, and spreadsheet programs Must have own transportation for site traveling Additional Information With over three decades of experience, we are a trusted industry leader.
