Work Environment\n This position is primarily conducted remotely, allowing for flexibility in your daily schedule while ensuring that you are accessible to schools, students, and families. You will engage in virtual consultations, attend meetings, and communicate with clients and educational staff through various digital platforms. Although the role offers remote flexibility, you may occasionally be required to attend in-person meetings or workshops to enhance collaboration with school personnel. Work hours typically follow a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional after-hours support based on client needs. Key Responsibilities\n \n Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify the emotional, mental, and social needs of students, ensuring that individual challenges are understood. \n Develop tailored intervention plans in collaboration with students, families, and educational staff to address specific goals and enhance student well-being. \n Provide ongoing counseling sessions to help students navigate personal challenges, academic stress, or familial issues. \n Advocate for students' rights and needs within the educational system, ensuring they have access to necessary support services. \n Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, school psychologists, and counselors, to coordinate care and implement holistic strategies for improvement. \n Conduct regular follow-ups to monitor student progress, reassess needs, and modify intervention plans as necessary. \n Facilitate family meetings to discuss strategies that can support students' home life and educational journey. \n Provide education and resources to students and families about available community services, enrichment programs, and support networks to enhance their overall quality of life. \n Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, progress reports, and compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n Your primary focus will be on students aged K-12 and their families, particularly those facing challenges related to mental health, behavioral issues, or significant life changes. Understanding the unique dynamics of school life and how they impact students is crucial in crafting effective interventions that lead to positive outcomes. Qualifications\n \n A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. \n Current and valid license as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Florida. \n A minimum of two years of experience in a social work role, particularly within educational or community settings that focus on children and families. \n Solid understanding of social work principles, especially in relation to mental health and the unique challenges faced by students. \n Exceptional assessment, counseling, and rapport-building skills to establish trusting relationships with students and families. \n Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders involved in the care of students. \n Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate client records. \n Preferred Experience\n \n Experience working with diverse populations in a school system or community center. \n Knowledge of local community resources and support systems available to families. \n Familiarity with developmental psychology and educational needs of children and adolescents. \n Compensation and Benefits\n The annual salary for this role falls between $60,000 and $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
