- Build, repair, and maintain tools, dies, molds, fixtures, and gauges
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and specifications
- Set up and operate manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses
- Troubleshoot tooling and equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges
- Modify tooling as needed to improve production efficiency and product quality
- Conduct preventative maintenance on tooling and related equipment
- Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical degree or apprenticeship in Tool & Die, Machining, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of tool making or tool & die experience preferred
- Strong understanding of machining practices and metalworking processes
- Ability to read blueprints and work with tight tolerances
- Experience with manual machines required; CNC experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Welding and fabrication experience
- CAD/CAM knowledge
- Experience in stamping, injection molding, or precision manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices
- Manufacturing or machine shop environment
- Exposure to machinery, noise, oils, and metal materials
- Use of required PPE including safety glasses, steel toe boots, and hearing protection
