As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Badge Validation in Pittston, PA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.43 / Hour

1. Age Requirement:

   • All candidates must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for employment (C101). 

2. Access Control/Badge Experience:

   • Candidates must have prior experience with access control systems and badge management (B201). This experience is essential for roles that involve security and access management within our facilities.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, trailer yards, loading docks, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor, driver, and vendor credentials, directing authorized personnel, and documenting arrivals, departures, and unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
