If you have at least six months of medical assisting experience and are looking to make a meaningful impact within a busy clinical environment, this position is ideal for you.ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and prepare patient charts for examinations and proceduresAnswer patient questions via phone and electronic medical records systemsProcess patient paperwork accurately and efficientlyAssist clinical staff with daily outpatient operations in a cardiology settingChart entries and documentation in EPIC electronic health record systemSupport patient flow and ensure smooth clinic operationsRequired SkillsHealthcare terminology knowledgeProficiency in Epic electronic health record systemExperience in adult outpatient clinics, particularly cardiologyAbility to perform rooming, patient communication, and document processing tasksReliable transportation to and from the clinic locationAdditional Skills & RequirementsCurrent BLS certificationMA-CS certification required; MA-R is not accepted at this timeAt least 6 months of medical assisting experience in outpatient settingsValid license in the region; compact license preferredAvailability to work day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMMust commit to working three of five designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)Ability to pass background checks and comply with facility policiesLocal candidates within 50 miles are preferredThis role provides a valuable opportunity to develop your clinical skills in a fast-paced outpatient cardiology environment.
