Job Overview Join the UAF Office of the Bursar as a Customer Service Representative. You will be the front line of support, providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, agencies, and the general public. Responsibilities Provide frontline support for financial and business matters related to the Bursar’s office. Answer inquiries and resolve issues related to student accounts, receivables, and finance. Maintain accurate records and execute routine business functions. Qualifications Work experience in an entry‑level fiscal position or equivalent (college coursework may substitute). Knowledge of UA policies, procedures, and computer systems related to student accounts, receivables, and finance. Understanding of basic accounting principles. Proficiency with standard business machines (10‑key, computer, etc.) and office software (word processing, spreadsheets). Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and oral/written communication skills. Ability to work independently and productively as part of a team. Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail. Capability to work well under stress and adapt to changing demands and timelines while maintaining productivity and customer service. Minimum Qualifications One year of college coursework in accounting or an equivalent combination of training, experience and/or education. At least three years of high‑level customer service experience. Position Details Location: Troth Yeddha’ campus, Fairbanks, Alaska. Full‑time, non‑exempt staff position. Salary: Grade 77 on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, based on education and experience.
