Registered Nurse - Occupational Health

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Occupational Health Registered Nurse collaborates with healthcare teams to provide pre-employment health assessments, immunizations, blood titers, urine drug collections, respirator fit testing, and TB assessments. This role requires working independently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and documentation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough health assessments and review medical histories to determine employee health status.
• Collect laboratory specimens such as blood titers and urine samples for drug testing.
• Perform respirator fit testing and TB assessments according to OSHA standards.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessments, immunizations, and test results.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, and facility-specific safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with team members and employees regarding health instructions and documentation requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid NY Registered Nurse license in hand.
• Have at least 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in occupational health or related fields.
• Demonstrate proficiency in assessment skills, medical record review, and specimen collection.
• Be flexible, dependable, and punctual with strong communication skills.
• Capable of working independently and adapting to a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of EPIC charting system is preferred.
