Someone who naturally enjoys math, science, coding, reading, or gaming would be a wonderful fit, as our child loves thoughtful conversations and intellectually engaging activities. Experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder is highly valued, particularly with school‑age or teen children, though a calm, compassionate, and flexible personality is equally important. You’re an excellent listener who understands when to offer encouragement, when to provide space, and how to create a supportive, respectful relationship built on trust. Job Duties Your day will focus on providing attentive care and companionship, including school drop‑off and pick‑up, transportation to activities as needed, and engaging in our son’s favorite interests such as reading, board games, coding, and other indoor activities. During downtime, you’ll provide supervision, encouragement, and meaningful interaction while maintaining a calm and supportive environment. Household responsibilities are intentionally minimal and should never take priority over childcare, though light tidying or helping with small tasks is appreciated if time allows.
