Our client, a leading organization in the logistics and transportation industry, is seeking a Logistics Clerk to join their team. As a Logistics Clerk, you will be part of the Logistics Department supporting the operational team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Southfield, MI

Pay Range: $21.00

Shift: Monday-Friday 230PM-11PM

What's the Job?

• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system
• Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken; inform receivers and customers about load status
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure timely and condition-compliant arrivals
• Take check calls from drivers, ensuring loads will deliver on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads delivered for accounting
• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete appropriate documentation

What's Needed?

• At least 1 year of logistics experience
• General knowledge of the transportation industry
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience writing routine reports and correspondence
• The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form
