About the Role:

Prestige Home Health Care Agency is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide (PCA) to join our growing team in Newport News, VA. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by providing essential care and support in the comfort of their own homes. If you have a heart for helping others, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support to clients
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean home environment
Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors
Offer companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being
Assist with medication reminders and follow individualized care plans

Requirements:

Prior experience as a Personal Care Aide, Home Health Aide, or in a similar caregiving role preferred
Genuine compassion, patience, and a client-centered approach to care
Ability to assist with physical tasks including lifting and transferring clients
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes in the Newport News, VA area
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
Must pass a background check and meet state requirements for home care aides in Virginia
