A day in this role
You’ll start your shift with a quick walk-through of critical assets, then move into scheduled preventive work. When a line stops, you pivot fast—isolating the issue, locking and tagging out, and restoring operation with precision. Your scope spans roll-forming, welding/fabrication, and the paint line, where you keep mechanical and hydraulic systems running smoothly.
What you’ll do- Execute preventive maintenance and react quickly to unplanned downtime to get equipment safely back online.
- Diagnose and repair issues on conveyors, gear reducers, electric motors, and hydraulic circuits.
- Perform accurate machine and component alignments to reduce wear and improve reliability.
- Replace hydraulic hoses and correctly assemble JIC and SAE fittings.
- Grease and lubricate motors, gearboxes, and related components using the right products and intervals.
- Follow LOTO requirements and all plant safety procedures at every step.
- Provide hands-on support across roll-forming, welding/fab, and paint-line departments.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance environments.
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting ability.
- Background working with conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and performing precision alignments.
- Working knowledge of industrial greases, oils, and lubrication best practices.
- Proven experience replacing hydraulic hoses.
- Bonus: exposure to presses, paint systems, or hydraulics-heavy production equipment.
