Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Speech-Language Pathologist licensure is required
• Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
• Capability to effectively serve students at elementary, middle, and high school levels
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to develop, implement, and document individualized intervention plans
• Adept at utilizing assessment tools and evidence-based therapies

Responsibilities:

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders for students of varying ages
• Create and deliver engaging therapy sessions according to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations for educational planning
• Maintain accurate records, track student progress, and provide timely updates to staff and families
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support student success in the educational setting
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in school speech therapy
