About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN First Assist (CVOR) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years Cardiovascular experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experienced CVOR Nurses - Advanced skills in Orthopedic/Neuro and DaVinci robot experience preferred Description: The position involves working in a cardiovascular operating room. The unit includes 2 cardiovascular operating rooms with a total of 12 beds. It is a Level 2 Trauma Center with a patient ratio of 1:1. Staffing includes 4 RNs per operating room suite, which consists of 2 circulators, 1 scrub RN, and 1 RN First Assist. The facility uses OR equipment and follows MediTech as its documentation system. The operating rooms are staffed 24/7. There is a floating policy in place, but no floating is required. Patient experience is prioritized with hourly updates provided to family members. Procedures performed in the unit include CABG, valve replacement, minimally invasive valve replacement, dissections, thoracic procedures, and vascular procedures. The role emphasizes teamwork and excellence in patient care. The facility is known for its commitment to quality and exceptional care by skilled professionals.
