Cisco Network EngineerOn site in Bristol, CT Contract positionWe are seeking a strong Cisco Network Engineer to support and maintain high-performance IP networks powering live production and broadcast environments.This role requires deep routing and switching expertise within a real-time, low-latency environment. Experience supporting multicast and broadcast/media networks is strongly preferred. SMPTE-2110 exposure is a plus, but not required.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching infrastructure (Nexus, Catalyst, ASR)Support BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP in a production environmentConfigure and troubleshoot multicast (IGMP, PIM-SM, SSM) for real-time media transportSupport low-latency IP networks used in live broadcast workflowsTroubleshoot packet loss, jitter, and routing instability during live eventsWork closely with broadcast engineering and production teamsSupport change management and live cutoversRequired Experience5+ years of Cisco routing and switching experienceStrong experience with BGP and OSPFHands-on experience configuring multicast (IGMP, PIM)Experience with Cisco Nexus and/or Catalyst platformsStrong troubleshooting skills in production environmentsComfortable working onsite in Bristol, CTPreferred (Nice to Have)Experience in broadcast or media environmentsExposure to SMPTE ST 2110Experience with spine-leaf architecturesFamiliarity with QoS tuning for video traffic
