Work Environment
The role of an LPC at Heart Share will be primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule to promote a healthy work-life balance. While you will work independently, you will also collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team in an outpatient office setting. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop tailored therapeutic strategies for clients, ensuring personalized care.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, groups, and couples to effectively address a wide range of mental health issues.
- Employ various therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, based on client needs.
- Maintain accurate and current clinical documentation in adherence to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
- Participate in regular professional training and workshops to remain informed about the latest developments in the mental health field.
- Engage in case conferences and collaborative treatment planning with peers and other healthcare professionals to enhance client care outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Heart Share, you will provide services to clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our client population often includes individuals and families with limited access to mental health resources, requiring a counselor who is adaptable and willing to address unique challenges in diverse settings.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.
- Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New York.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a counseling role, ideally in clinical settings, is required.
- Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards governing counseling practices.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and relevant technology platforms.
Preferred Experience
- Specialized experience in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use counseling is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with community resources and the ability to connect clients to necessary services are beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive annual salary in the range of $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
