Biology Instructor

Adjunct Instructor – Biology – Part Time Location: North Canton, OH – Canton, OH 44718 Ross Education Holdings, Inc. is a growing non‑profit education organization with more than 40 campuses across multiple states, offering certification and degree programs in nursing, medical assisting, dental assisting, and related fields. We are seeking a qualified adjunct instructor with a master’s degree in Biology or related field to deliver general education biology courses in a campus‑based setting. Responsibilities Deliver course work in accordance with the Ross curriculum. Enter the classroom at the scheduled time with all necessary materials; begin and end class as scheduled, following student break times. Monitor class retention rates and actively promote student retention to exceed the accreditation standard of 80%. Review the standard Ross curriculum and prepare materials for class instruction. Correct student assignments and tests; review results and return graded coursework promptly. Accurately record grades, proficiencies, and attendance in campus management software. Cooperate with lab schedules, maintain weekly office hours, and proctor Saturday makeup sessions when requested. Complete curriculum training prior to each module instruction. Complete at least one pre‑approved professional development workshop, seminar, or course related to the teaching discipline each fiscal year. Attend two Ross Education LLC in‑services each fiscal year. Attend formal and informal faculty and staff meetings; inform the Director immediately of unsatisfactory academic progress, disciplinary, or attitude issues. Provide additional support to students on alerts, warnings, and/or probations. Attend quarterly faculty meetings to discuss classroom concerns, student issues, retention and placement, curriculum development, assessment results, and other relevant topics. Participate in campus externship seminars as directed by the Director and in events related to student retention and graduate placement. Advise the Director of any equipment repair, replacement needs, or supplies issues. Perform related work as required. Qualifications Master’s degree in Biology or specific courses being taught. Good computer skills, flexibility, and a go‑with‑the‑flow attitude. Adherence to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics. Clear and effective communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced work environment. Sufficient physical ability to move around the building; reasonable accommodation may be provided for qualified individuals with disabilities. Position is in person.
