Join our dedicated team and contribute to delivering unparalleled fabrications and equipment solutions. As a Packager, you will be part of a dynamic team in Bettendorf, Iowa, focusing on the preparation of fabricated materials and sheet metal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items for shipment by packaging them in boxes or pallets and securing them with bands.
• Mark boxes with part numbers and job names for accurate tracking.
• Move materials and items to designated shipping areas or other specified locations.
• Sort and organize materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences like size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Ensure the warehouse remains accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding or shipping area.
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
• Maintain an orderly and organized warehouse and work area.
• Keep an adequate supply of shipping materials available at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• General labor and production experience.
• Proficiency with using a pallet-jack.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Capability to work on feet for the majority of the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in packaging and warehouse organization.

Work Environment

You will be working in a sheet metal shop with approximately 200 employees. The environment can be loud at times, but the facility is well-lit and ensures a safe working space. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required, although sweats and swishy pants are not permitted.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bettendorf, IA.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bettendorf,IA.
