X Ray Technologist

X-Ray Technologist – Part-Time/Per Diem Apply for this position at American Family Care . Responsibilities The Technologist operates X-ray equipment to create radiographs of designated body parts. Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns. Positions patients using immobilization devices. Monitors, records, and communicates appropriately using computerized documentation systems. Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff, and provides a safe environment for administering contrast material. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Position Requirements Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. ARRT certification. Current Pennsylvania license or permit to practice medical imaging. Excellent patient care and good customer service skills. Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
