Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holidays as required

Job Description:

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) RN is responsible for providing complex monitoring and treatment of adult cardiac patients in an 8-bed high acuity unit. The RN collaborates with all care disciplines to achieve optimal patient outcomes and may be required to float to other units and hospitals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized cardiac care to patients transferred from the Cath Lab, ED, and Acute Care areas.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure maximal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• AL or Compact License, no temporary licenses accepted.
• Certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS if working in the pediatric unit.
• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of experience with at least 1 year in cardiac specialty.
• ASN degree required.
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals.
• Proficiency in charting using Meditech.
• Pass a Dysrhythmia Basic exam with no more than 2 attempts.
