The Accounting Specialist reports to the Assistant Director of Accounting and provides professional accounting services such as processing, reconciling, recording, and reporting financial transactions for the Florida Court Clerks & Comptroller, Civitek, Kestrel, and the Florida Courts E‑Filing Authority. Part‑time. Starting salary $18.00 - $20.00 / hour. Relocation assistance and sponsorship are not available. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process incoming checks and deposits. Process bills and handle customer service for various billing types. Perform reconciliations for small bank accounts. Process incoming invoices. Perform various monthly tasks, such as journal entries and reclassifications. Ensure compliance with approved internal controls, employing professional judgment and critical thinking in all areas. Provide financial data and supporting documentation for audits or other internal projects. Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Exceptional customer service skills in providing service to Clerks, State of Florida agencies, and internal customers. Critical thinking and analytical reasoning ability. Research and problem‑solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Experience with Microsoft Navision is beneficial.
