Controls & Instrumentation Engineer (Senior)Location: Lake Mary, FLType: Direct HireCompensation: $110,000.00-$135,000.00Work Model: OnsiteResponsibilitiesDemonstrate core competencies: action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownershipLead evaluation and interpretation of customer contract requirements and technical specificationsOwn instrumentation scope, schedules, and deliverables for assigned projectsDevelop and review complex instrumentation specifications, RFQs, and procurement strategiesProvide technical oversight of vendor selection, bid evaluations, and supplier performanceEnsure accuracy and completeness of P&IDs, instrument indexes, I/O lists, and loop designsLead development and review of datasheets, drawings, and design documentationDrive resolution of technical issues, customer comments, and design conflictsAct as primary technical interface with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teamsProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineersLead development and continuous improvement of I&C procedures, standards, and best practicesSupport and lead troubleshooting, commissioning, and field issue resolutionEnsure compliance with international codes, standards, and regional requirementsLead new vendor qualification and evaluation effortsSupport business development activities including bid reviews and technical proposalsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)Typically, 6–10+ years of relevant I&C experience in power generation or similar industriesStrong expertise in gas turbine controls and/or balance-of-plant systemsAdvanced knowledge of control systems (e.g., MK5/MK6, T3000, Ovation, DeltaV, SIMATIC, etc.)Deep experience with SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation) or similar engineering toolsStrong knowledge of instrumentation design, sizing, and applicationAdvanced understanding of I/O architecture, system integration, and plant operationsProven ability to interpret and apply industry standards (ISA, ANSI/NEMA, NFPA, AGA, etc.)Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and decision-making skillsStrong problem-solving and project execution capabilitiesEffective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholdersWillingness to travel up to 5-10%
