We offer sound-attenuated and weather-protective packaging for on-site power generation equipment, with products ranging from economical skin-tight enclosures to entire multi-unit power plants. Role Overview The Human Resources Generalist serves as a key partner to leaders and employees by supporting day-to-day human resources operations and ensuring consistent application of company policies, employment practices, and employee relations processes. This role plays a critical role in fostering a positive, compliant, and productive work environment. The HR Generalist will work closely with employees, supervisors, and leadership to address workplace concerns, support performance management efforts, facilitate employee onboarding, and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations. Success in this role will be measured through employee engagement, policy compliance, workforce support, conflict resolution effectiveness, and overall contribution to a positive employee experience. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary Human Resources point of contact for employees, providing guidance on policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace concerns. Conduct employee relations investigations involving complaints, workplace conflicts, policy violations, and other personnel matters while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Support supervisors and managers with employee performance management, coaching conversations, corrective actions, and employee development initiatives. Facilitate conflict resolution efforts and help maintain a positive, respectful, and productive work environment. Lead onboarding activities, new-hire orientation, and completion of employment documentation. Ensure consistent application and enforcement of company policies, employment laws, and workplace standards. Monitor attendance trends, turnover metrics, and workforce concerns while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries, enrollment issues, leave of absence administration, and other HR programs. Review and validate employee timekeeping records, partnering with supervisors to resolve discrepancies. Support return-to-work programs, reasonable accommodation processes, and workers' compensation-related activities as needed. Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Partner with operational leaders to support employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive workplace culture. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information. Support HR projects, initiatives, and departmental objectives as assigned. Ensure all HR activities align with ASC's commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and teamwork. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum of 4 to 6 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or fast-paced operational environment preferred. Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, employment law, investigations, and HR best practices. Experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving employee concerns professionally and objectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, coaching, and conflict-resolution abilities. Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality. Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience working within HRIS systems. Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and technologies. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred. Demonstrated commitment to employee service, professionalism, and organizational success. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to walk throughout office, production, and manufacturing areas regularly. Ability to access and navigate various departments and facilities during daily activities. Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer and conducting administrative tasks. Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs. Ability to maintain a consistent presence during second-shift operations. Ability to work effectively in both office and manufacturing environments.
