About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred License: Must possess an active Minnesota RN license Certifications: BCLS required Must-Have: - Ability to float to other similar units as needed - Weekend availability required every other weekend - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience of 3-5 Description: Looking for a Med Surg RN to work Night shifts. The shift times are from 19:00 to 07:30. The RN will float to other similar units as necessary. Candidates must possess BCLS and a valid Minnesota RN license. No candidates living within 25 miles of the facility will be considered. Finalized requests for time off must be included with submissions. No time off is allowed within the first week of the start date. No more than 10 days of time off is permitted per assignment. The unit provides post-operative care for various types of surgeries. Patients include those recovering from general surgery, bariatric, vascular, urology, plastic surgery, and trauma cases. The facility is an advanced medical institution with designated trauma services. Daily patient census may vary and care is provided for adult and geriatric populations. The unit has interdisciplinary support including various therapeutic and support services. Special procedures include management of surgical drains, post-operative care, and maintenance of various medical devices. Compliance with vaccination requirements is mandatory, and exemptions are permitted for medical or religious reasons. Travelers must commit to complete necessary background checks within the required timeframe.
