CDL Truck Driver - Class A

Rogers Group is currently seeking an experienced CDL Truck Driver in Roanoke, VA. The successful candidate will have prior experience driving a lowboy and operating some equipment, a strong commitment to safety, a safe driving record, and a valid Class A CDL. Prior experience with lowboy trailer operation is required. Responsibilities Operate a lowboy trailer to transport heavy equipment to and from job sites and to move equipment needing repair to the shop. Be familiar with quarry operations. Provide support on scheduled weekends by operating lowboys, tankers, and assisting dump trucks, as well as participating in incident investigations as needed. Load, unload, escort, and transport heavy equipment to designated locations. Secure heavy equipment properly prior to transport. Qualifications Uncompromising focus on safety excellence; self-starter and able to complete tasks with minimal direct supervision. Knowledge of DOT regulations and monitoring of changes. Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends; team player. Valid CDL-A license and safe driving record. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen. Required: Valid CDL Class A driver’s license; Tanker Endorsement preferred. Clean Motor Vehicle Record with a safe driving history. Physical Requirements Possess physical strength, stamina, and coordination to complete assigned duties. Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs independently. Constant climbing up and down, with three points of contact.
