Senior AI Engineer – Agentic AI & Enterprise AI Platforms Essential: 5+ years of software/ML/AI engineering experience and building production systems in any industry. The Opportunity We are partnering with a highly successful global multi‑strategy hedge fund that is making a long‑term investment in Artificial Intelligence. The Chief AI Officer is building AI engineering teams focused on creating next‑generation AI platforms, agentic workflows, and enterprise AI capabilities that will transform how the organization operates. This is not a chatbot project – you will join a small, high‑caliber team building production‑grade AI systems used across critical business functions, leveraging the latest advancements in LLMs, agentic AI, retrieval systems, and AI orchestration frameworks. You will have the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and help shape the firm’s AI strategy, architecture, and tooling from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy production‑grade AI applications, platforms, and agentic workflows. Develop AI‑powered copilots, knowledge assistants, automation tools, and decision‑support systems. Build and maintain enterprise AI platforms supporting multiple teams and business functions. Design multi‑agent architectures incorporating planning, memory, tool use, and workflow orchestration. Develop Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, semantic search capabilities, and knowledge retrieval systems. Build scalable APIs, services, and infrastructure supporting AI workloads in production. Implement AI evaluation frameworks, observability, monitoring, guardrails, and quality controls. Partner with stakeholders across technology, operations, finance, compliance, and other business functions to identify and deliver high‑impact AI use cases. Evaluate emerging AI technologies and contribute to long‑term platform strategy and architecture. Drive projects from concept and experimentation through to production deployment and adoption. Required Experience 5+ years of software engineering, machine learning, or AI engineering experience. Strong hands‑on experience building production AI systems using modern LLM technologies. Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, CrewAI, or similar. Experience designing and deploying RAG architectures, vector search, and semantic retrieval systems. Strong Python engineering skills and experience building APIs and microservices. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern deployment practices. Experience implementing evaluation, monitoring, observability, and reliability controls for AI systems. Strong system design and architecture skills. Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, highly technical environment.
