Network EngineerLocation: Hybrid 3 days in-office Atlanta, GAThe Network Engineer is responsible for supporting, configuring, analyzing, and maintaining RaceTrac's enterprise network infrastructure, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), wireless networks, routing, switching, and firewall platforms. This individual works closely with cross-functional Information Technology teams to ensure the stability, security, and performance of critical network services that support corporate, retail, and distribution operations.The Network Engineer participates in infrastructure projects, network upgrades, troubleshooting efforts, and operational support activities. This position is responsible for identifying and resolving network issues, implementing approved changes, maintaining documentation, and supporting the continuous improvement of network services and technologies.ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support Cisco routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure across corporate, retail, and distribution environments.Administer and maintain Palo Alto firewall platforms, including policy management, VPNs, and network security configurations.Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity utilizing enterprise network monitoring tools.Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, performance, and security issues across the enterprise.Participate in network infrastructure projects, upgrades, deployments, and lifecycle replacement initiatives.Maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.Work Experience / SkillsRequired4–7 years of experience supporting enterprise network environmentsHands-on experience configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting Cisco routing and switching infrastructureHands-on experience configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting Palo Alto firewallsStrong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking technologiesExperience diagnosing and resolving network performance, availability, and connectivity issues in production environmentsExperience implementing network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities within established change management processesExperience utilizing network monitoring and management toolsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple prioritiesPreferredBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldTechnical certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSA, PCNSE, or equivalentExperience with SD-WAN technologiesExperience with Microsoft Azure networking and hybrid connectivity solutionsExperience supporting enterprise wireless infrastructure and wireless controllersExperience with network automation and scripting technologies (PowerShell, Python, Ansible, etc.)Experience with network segmentation, access control, and security best practicesExperience supporting large multi-site or retail environmentsFueled by Growth, Driven by YouAt RaceTrac, our people make the difference.
