Utilization Management Clinical Consultant – Behavioral Health–position Details

• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST.
• Pay Rate: 37.16per hour

Utilization Management Clinical Consultant – Behavioral Health– you will:

• Review clinical information and apply medical necessity criteria, clinical guidelines, policies, and professional judgment to make coverage determinations and discharge planning decisions.
• Analyze medical records and clinical data to ensure services align with evidence-based standards and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to support timely care and authorization decisions.
• Conduct concurrent reviews of inpatient and outpatient treatment to support continuity of care.
• Identify members who may benefit from care management programs and facilitate appropriate referrals.
• Provide urgent or emergent clinical interventions, including triage and crisis support, when required.
• Prepare clinical reports and documentation to communicate findings and monitor utilization management outcomes.

Utilization Management Clinical Consultant – Behavioral Health– Requirements

• Master’s degree required for behavioral health clinicians.
• Active Arizona LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license required for behavioral health clinicians.
• RN applicants require an associate’s degree and an active compact license with a behavioral health focus.
• Verifiable high school diploma or GED required.
