Be You. We’re looking for a Financial Services Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the trusted point of contact for members who rely on you for clear, accurate, and timely support. Whether you’re answering questions, processing transactions, conducting loan interviews, or helping members navigate their financial options, you’ll make a meaningful impact every day. You’ll work across key areas of the credit union — Call Center, Lending, or Operations — providing exceptional service, solving problems, and helping members access the financial resources they need. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys member‑facing work, values accuracy, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Experience providing customer or member services in a financial services, credit union, or similar environment. Ability to provide detailed and accurate information about financial products and services. Ability to work with data processing systems to enter transactions, maintain accounts, and support daily operations. Preferred Qualifications Experience conducting loan interviews or processing loan applications. Knowledge of consumer and mortgage applications, credit reports, and loan documentation. Familiarity with ACH, ATM, payroll, EFT, Visa, or share draft programs. Understanding of GAAP and compliance requirements related to financial service programs. Ability to cross‑sell financial services and support members in selecting the best solutions. Other Requirements Ability to greet and assist members in person or by phone and direct them appropriately. Ability to efficiently process member requests in accordance with credit union policies. Ability to underwrite and approve loans submitted through Credit Union Direct Lending (CUDL). Ability to ensure all support programs and reporting comply with internal policy, GAAP, and applicable laws. This position is onsite. Be Bold. Provide accurate, detailed information to members regarding credit union services, policies, and financial products. Greet and assist members in person or by phone, handling transactions or directing them to the appropriate staff. Process service requests in accordance with policies and procedures. Cross‑sell credit union services to meet member needs. Maintain working knowledge of data processing systems, entering transactions and maintaining accounts. Conduct loan interviews and, as authorized, approve and process loan applications. Obtain necessary information for consumer and mortgage applications and analyze credit reports. Prepare loan documents, disburse funds, and support all stages of the loan approval process. Underwrite and approve CUDL loan submissions. Support ACH, ATM, payroll, EFT, Visa, and share draft programs, ensuring compliance with GAAP and policy. Ensure data processing and reporting for support programs complies with applicable laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Choose Duke. This role offers the opportunity to support a community‑focused financial environment where accuracy, service, and teamwork matter.
