Staff Technical Program Manager

Role Overview The Technical Program Manager will own and execute end‑to‑end company‑wide projects from product definition, functional design, engineering execution, and customer lifecycle management across Coupang’s platform. This role works with a global team, ensuring alignment across product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions. What You Will Do Work closely with multiple business and engineering teams to define, streamline, and analyze data for building business requirements. Articulate functional and technical requirements, drive engineering to implementation across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and maintain strong collaboration and communication on all levels. Strong functional and technical analytical and design capability across common platforms, web services, and APIs. Identify new platform scenarios that simplify services and improve system productivity and efficiency. Solid experience with platform, web services, and API technologies. Blend technical, business, and program management skills for seamless communication and project execution. Own large‑scale, complex programs, leading teams through success. Manage end‑to‑end implementation from project charter, roadmap, plan, design, build, execute, deliver, and monitor performance. Create and evolve specifications for feature areas that enable coherent, compatible, iterative scenarios across multiple teams. Analyze data and business needs to propose scenarios and requirements. Excellent cross‑group collaboration and communication skills. Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and detail‑oriented skills. Experience driving cultural change within teams. Implement ongoing data strategy and improve data quality. Establish and enhance systems for capturing product feedback from customers to resolve issues. Contribute to ecosystem design reviews. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of Engineering Program Management experience managing feature teams and designing large‑scale or complex technical initiatives on shared platforms for web, web services, APIs, and data analytics. Minimum 5 years of experience in platform, web design, and API usage by internal and external teams. Flexible, agile, and fast learner. Preferred Qualifications Outstanding verbal and written communication. Excellent cross‑group collaboration and communication skills. Demonstrated virtual team leadership capabilities. Knowledge or experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum). People management experience. Pay & Benefits Base pay ranges from $155,000/year in the lowest geographic market to $267,000/year in the highest market, depending on location and experience. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. General Description of All Benefits Annual bonus: 0‑20% of base salary.
