Schedule: 2:1 patient ratio; every other weekend required; 10-bed unit with average daily census of 7; multidisciplinary rounds Monday-Friday at 10 AM with intensivist

Highlights:

• Specialized cardiovascular intensive care unit caring for patients with LVADs, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Swan-Ganz catheters, temporary pacemakers, CRRT, and post-AAA repair patients
• Work alongside an on-site intensivist Monday through Friday with dedicated multidisciplinary team rounds
• Free charge nurse model with typical 2:1 patient assignments in a 10-bed ICU environment
• Manage complex cardiac patients requiring titration of vasoactive medications, cardiac drips, and sedation protocols
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Contract includes orientation with non-billable hours based on assignment length; maximum 7 days requested time off

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with 2:1 patient ratios in intensive care settings
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Proficiency in cardiovascular critical care skills including arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz monitoring, IABP, CRRT, and ventricular assist devices
• Ability to float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
