Staff Commodity Manager, Key Technologies

Danaher seeks a Staff Commodity Manager to lead global sourcing strategy for electro-mechanical components at Beckman Coulter Life Sciences. The role involves supplier management, value engineering, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams on product introductions and cost reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead global sourcing and supplier strategy for electro-mechanical commodity portfolio including motors, sensors, and assemblies
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D teams to align sourcing with product and business objectives
• Evaluate supplier processes, capabilities, automation, and quality systems for selection and development
• Drive value engineering, design-to-cost modeling, and innovation initiatives to reduce total cost
• Support new product introductions, supplier qualification, dual-sourcing, and risk mitigation across manufacturing sites

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Materials Engineering
• 5+ years in engineering, manufacturing, supplier engineering, or strategic sourcing roles
• Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
• Experience evaluating supplier capabilities in machining, fabrication, assembly, and testing
• Proven track record leading cost reduction, supplier development, or process improvement initiatives
• Procurement and supplier negotiation experience balancing technical, quality, and commercial factors
