Job Title: Machinist

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of machining practices, attention to detail, and the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) to produce precision parts.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Measure, examine, and test completed parts to ensure specifications and quality standards are met.
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments for accuracy and efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.
Maintain accurate documentation of production runs, materials used, and inspection results.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to improve processes and product quality.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred.
Proven experience as a machinist or in a related role.
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
Good math, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Commitment to safety and quality.

Preferred:

Experience with CNC programming (G-code, Mastercam, etc.).
Background in industrial, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing.
