Position OverviewAdventist Physical Health Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic orthopedic outpatient practice in Lynchburg, Virginia. Our state-of-the-art 5,000 square feet sports medicine facility is equipped with the latest technology to assist in the rehabilitation process. Our team consists of experienced professionals, including two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), all committed to fostering a healing atmosphere where patients can thrive. We primarily cater to individuals with private medical insurance, ensuring that they receive the highest quality services tailored to their specific needs.Work EnvironmentThe rehabilitation center is an onsite facility, creating a collaborative workspace where team members can engage in clinical discussions and treatment planning. Our work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. The environment is designed for comfort and efficiency, supporting both staff and patients in their rehabilitation journeys.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop evidence-based treatment protocols by assessing patients' needs and establishing specific rehabilitation goals.Manage a patient load of one individual per hour to ensure focused and personalized care.Utilize a variety of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities to improve pain management and facilitate recovery.Create and implement fitness and wellness programs tailored to each patient's individual requirements, aiming for significant improvement in their mobility and functional abilities.Maintain thorough documentation of all patient interactions, treatment procedures, and progress notes to comply with healthcare regulations and enhance patient care continuity.Conduct follow-ups to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment methods based on their development and feedback.Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to consult on complex cases and share best practices in patient management.Encourage patient engagement and motivation through education about non-surgical therapies and the importance of lifestyle modifications.Patient Population / Client FocusOur patient population primarily includes adults seeking rehabilitation from orthopedic injuries and surgeries such as joint replacements, fractures, tendon injuries, and sports-related conditions. We are dedicated to reducing reliance on medications by promoting various non-surgical treatments and individualized exercise regimens that enhance patients' physical capabilities and independence. Your role will be crucial in helping these individuals achieve their functional goals and enhancing their quality of life.QualificationsPossession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Lynchburg, VA, with no board actions or disciplinary actions on record.Strong manual therapy skills and a proven ability to develop effective exercise programs suited to diverse patient needs.Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT; familiarity with documentation requirements is essential.Preferred ExperiencePrior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, showcasing a background in treating similar conditions.Experience working in a team environment, demonstrating collaboration with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
