Manufacturing Technician (Press Operator)

ABBA Roller is seeking a Manufacturing Technician (Press Operator) is responsible for operating molding presses to produce high-quality products in accordance with production schedules and work instructions. This role ensures products meet quality standards while maintaining safety, efficiency, and proper documentation throughout the manufacturing process.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate molding presses as assigned by the production schedule or Molding Foreman.
• Load and unload materials and finished products from molds and tooling.
• Read, understand, and follow production routers and work instructions (English or Spanish), and complete required documentation.
• Maintain production rates and efficiencies that support company goals.
• Perform in-process visual inspections to verify product quality and document inspection results.
• Maintain proper product identification and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and submit Opportunity for Improvement (OFI) forms when appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Conduct monthly audits of expired materials, as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience

• 04 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred, ideally in a molded manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating presses, molding equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery is a plus.
• Placement into the Manufacturing Technician I or II level will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, and overall qualifications.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
• Ability to safely operate production equipment and follow standard work instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret production routers, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing safety practices.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Training

On-the-job training will be provided on all applicable procedures, equipment, and work instructions within the assigned area of responsibility.

Annual refresher training includes:

• Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
• Calibration
• Documentation Control
• Safety and Environmental Topics

This position is being filled at either the Manufacturing Technician I or Manufacturing Technician II level based on the selected candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
