Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the used vehicle department to maximize sales, gross profit, and inventory turn.
- Source quality pre-owned inventory through trade-ins, auctions, and direct purchases.
- Oversee vehicle appraisals, pricing strategies, and inventory management to maintain a competitive and profitable selection.
- Manage the reconditioning process to ensure vehicles are frontline-ready in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Monitor inventory aging and implement strategies to improve inventory turn and profitability.
- Support the sales team by desking deals, assisting with negotiations, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
- Train, coach, and motivate the used vehicle sales team to achieve sales and performance goals.
- Collaborate with the Finance, Service, and Sales departments to drive operational efficiency and dealership success.
- Ensure all used inventory is accurately merchandised, photographed, and marketed across all platforms.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of automotive sales experience.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Ability to analyze reports and make data-driven business decisions.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS), CRM, and inventory management software preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
