Home Care Office Assistant

Position Summary: The Office Assistant is the first point of contact for the office and is also responsible for greeting visitors and dealing with queries from the public and customer and performs other clerical tasks as needed.

Hours: Hours: Full Time: Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.

Essential Duties:

• Answer incoming calls on main line and respond to all voice mails.
• Distribute and sort mail, collect faxes, and distribute to appropriate department, and prepare overnight letters/packages as directed
• Maintain Records, Filing, and Correspondence
• Assist with nursing clerical needs
• Copy materials and distribute mail/fax/scan documents
• Office Inventory
• Data entry
• Office organization
• Process Client Referrals
• Client Admissions
• Home Visits
• Field staff supply distribution
• Help coordinate annual office events
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
• Maintain regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
• Follows all VA, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements
• Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards
• Assist in Marketing planning and events
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements & Competencies:

• GED, High School diploma
• 2 years of related experience required
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Computer savvy
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
