Security Officer Part Time Customer Support Patrol
As a Security Officer Part Time Customer Support Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while using computers or tablets as needed. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken according to site policies.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and property management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
