For more information, visit Primary Job Function The Reynoldsburg City Schools’ Campus Leader is responsible for serving as the instructional and operational leader of a high school campus. This role involves providing a clear vision for learning, ensuring a safe and orderly environment, and cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders. In collaboration with the High School Principal, the Campus Leader promotes high-quality instructional practices aligned with the District’s Strategic Plan and the Ohio Principal Evaluation System (OPES) standards. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or a related field. Five (5) years of successful experience in teaching or the education field. Valid State of Ohio Principal License (Grades 7-12 or PK-12). Valid State of Ohio Teaching License/Certificate. Must pass a criminal background check (BCI/FBI). Preferred Qualifications Three to Five (3-5) years of experience in school administration. Credentialed evaluator for the Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES 2.0). Familiarity with the Ohio Principal Evaluation System (OPES 2.0) framework. Experience leading Early College High School models or innovative secondary programming. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, articulate, and operationalize a vision for learning that drives excellence and meaningful achievement for all students. Model and foster a culture of reflective practice, high accountability, and professional integrity. Create an environment that fosters social justice and equity, ensuring the individual needs of every child are met. Lead a school leadership team to maintain high-quality instructional practices and "Deeper Learning" initiatives. Support a student discipline management system that promotes positive behavior and equitable outcomes. Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-impact instructors; oversee the professional development program for all campus staff. Evaluate certified staff using the OTES 2.0 model and classified staff in conjunction with District Operations. Meet with parent councils and community agencies to advocate for student welfare and the school mission. Lead the development of school systems, schedules, and structures; determine the allocation of fiscal and human resources. Develop campus improvement plans using data-driven information systems to track academic excellence indicators. Monitor instructional processes to ensure that program activities are related to program outcomes and use findings to take corrective actions. Promote high-quality instructional practices that consistently allow for excellent instruction school-wide. Develop, implement, and manage all school systems, schedules, structures, and operations. Promote the use of technology in the teaching and learning process. Foster a reflective, collaborative, and inspiring culture for students, families, staff members, and community partners. Establish programs and activities designed to foster positive relationships among students and between students and staff. Manage a school focused on driving excellence, executing with urgency, and realizing significant and meaningful achievement. Work with department heads and faculty to compile annual budget requests based on documented program needs. Requisition supplies, textbooks, and equipment; check inventory; maintain records; and verify receipts for materials. Assist in evaluating the condition of the school, grounds, and equipment. Assist with safety inspections and safety‑drill practice activities. Assist in coordinating transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services. Encourage and support the development of extra and co‑curricular activities. Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable. Conduct conferences on student and school issues with parents, students, and teachers. Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of: Current educational trends and research regarding effective building leadership. Ohio School Law and Reynoldsburg City Schools (RCS) Board policies and procedures. OTES 2.0 and OPES 2.0 evaluation frameworks and state requirements. Policies and programs that impact strategies for specific school needs. Skilled in: Cultural proficiency and equity-based leadership. Mentoring and coaching techniques for professional staff development. Effective listening, verbal, and written communication. Organization, time management, task prioritization, and recordkeeping. Ability to: Develop programs on a wide scale and connect a vision to a K-12 continuum. Balance constructive feedback with recognition and praise. Customize mentoring to teacher’s learning and development needs. Work effectively, cooperatively, and respectfully with diverse stakeholders. Manage multiple projects and timelines successfully under pressure.
