The Role This role sits at the center of the product engine—part design, part systems architect, and part operations. You’ll own the infrastructure that powers KAST’s design output: design systems, workflow tooling, documentation, component libraries, process alignment, and the connective tissue between product, engineering, and design. What You’ll Be Doing Design Systems: Own, scale, and maintain KAST’s design system—components, tokens, patterns, and guidelines. Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the connective bridge across Product, Engineering, and Design to ensure clarity and consistent delivery. Tools & Workflow Architecture: Manage and optimize our design tooling stack, workflows, and handoff processes for maximum velocity. Documentation & Governance: Create and maintain clear documentation, standards, and governance models that keep quality high and teams aligned. Delivery Acceleration: Remove friction in the design-to-engineering pipeline so teams can ship faster with confidence and consistency. Quality & Consistency: Implement processes and review systems that uphold design quality across all surfaces and platforms. Component & Pattern Development: Partner with designers and engineers to define, standardize, and evolve reusable components and product patterns. Process Optimization: Continuously identify operational bottlenecks, propose improvements, and roll out scalable processes across teams. What You’ll Bring 6+ years of experience in Design Ops, Product Design, or a hybrid systems-focused design role. Background in fintech or high-velocity product teams. Deep experience managing and scaling design systems. Strong Figma mastery—libraries, tokens, component architecture, auto-layout, and variants. Proven ability to partner closely with engineers and product teams. Exceptional organizational ability and a strong systems-thinking mindset.
