Position Overview

• Evanston Branch | In Person
• Full-Time | Monday–Friday | No Weekends or Evenings
• $18.00–$21.00 per hour

Tanager Bank is seeking a client-focused and motivated Universal Banker to join our growing team. This position plays an essential role in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting teller operations, account management, and relationship building within the branch.

The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, building strong customer relationships, and working in a professional community banking environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller functions accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain and balance a cash drawer according to established banking procedures.

• Open new accounts and assist customers with account maintenance and service requests.

• Educate customers on banking products, services, and digital banking tools.

• Identify opportunities to recommend financial products and solutions based on customer needs.

• Provide exceptional customer service with a professional and client-first approach.

• Resolve customer concerns and support positive banking experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous banking, retail, cash handling, or customer service experience preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
