Community Manager

Introduction The Community Manager will be responsible for making real-time editorial judgment calls about engaging with the community, feeding engagement insights back into the content calendar, maintaining a clear boundary between community engagement and customer support, and supporting Reddit programming. The ideal candidate will have experience in community management, social media engagement, or a related editorial role, with a focus on consumer technology, entertainment, or media brands. Responsibilities Make real-time editorial judgment calls about community engagement Feed engagement insights back into the content calendar Maintain a clear boundary between community engagement and customer support Support Reddit programming, including weekly product updates, feature deep dives, FAQ responses, and AMA coordination Partner with Social Listening to combine qualitative engagement insights with quantitative sentiment data Codify examples of strong engagement and set standards for the team Review engagement quality weekly and assess missed opportunities Requirements Required Skills: 5+ years of experience in community management, social media engagement, or a related editorial role Experience managing community engagement for a brand across multiple platforms, including Reddit Understanding of the difference between community engagement and customer support Sharp editorial judgment and ability to assess conversations in real time Fluency in platform culture across various social media platforms Ability to write in a direct, useful, and conversational voice Comfort with ambiguity and fast-moving situations Experience working cross-functionally with product, legal, comms, and marketing teams Preferred Skills Experience in consumer product marketing Ability to maintain systems for daily engagement Strong instincts for where the line between community engagement and customer support lies Comfortable engaging independently and knowing when to escape #J-18808-Ljbffr
