Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Title Travel RN – ICU / Critical Care (Rapid Response Team) Location Asheville, NC Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Rotating Weekends | Projected Start: August 3, 2026 Key Responsibilities Serve as part of a dedicated Rapid Response Team, operating across the entire facility rather than within a single patient assignment Collaborate with core staff members to respond to and manage critical patient situations house-wide Perform and assist with cardiac arrest response, targeted temperature management (TTM), and post-resuscitation care Support trauma, stroke, and STEMI workups as needed throughout the facility Document and manage patient care utilizing the Cerner EMR system Float throughout the facility in alignment with the rapid response role and unit guidelines Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Minimum of 5 years of ICU experience required; candidates without this will not be considered Current ACLS certification required Current NIHSS certification required Prior experience in or strong familiarity with a dedicated rapid response role is highly recommended Preferred Experience / Skills Medical ICU (MICU) background preferred Emergency Department (ED) experience is a plus Compassionate, team-oriented personality with the ability to work effectively alongside diverse staff Why Join Us Work at a large, regionally recognized healthcare facility that serves as the area's only Level II Trauma Center, offering exposure to a high-acuity, diverse patient population Located in Asheville, NC — a vibrant city nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains known for its arts scene, outdoor recreation, and unique culture Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 764904.
