Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Representative

Are you an experienced medical front desk professional who enjoys staying busy, working with a supportive team, and making a real difference for patients every day? Chesapeake Specialty Care is looking for a friendly, reliable Medical Receptionist to join our growing specialty practice.

This is a  fully in-person role that offers variety and teamwork across multiple locations.  Regular travel to all four offices—Owings Mills, Rosedale, Columbia, and Westminster—is required.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday (no weekends!)
• 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
• 30-minute unpaid lunch

What You'll Do

• Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out with professionalism and care
• Schedule appointments across all practice locations
• Collect copays and outstanding balances
• Assist patients with insurance and billing questions
• Ensure paperwork, referrals, and medical records are accurate and complete
• Prepare charts and maintain organized front desk and filing areas
• Rotate between office locations as assigned
• Support the team with additional duties as needed

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of medical front desk or medical office experience (required)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle basic office tasks (typing, scanning, filing)
• Professional, compassionate approach with all patients
• Willing and able to travel regularly to all four locations

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical office training is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged sitting and computer use
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
