Job Description:


Are you ready to make a significant impact in patient care? As a Clinical Pharmacist I, you will:

- Fill drug orders with precision and care, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety.
- Monitor and adjust pharmacokinetics, providing critical support for optimal drug therapy.
- Compounding and dispensing both non-sterile and sterile products, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret and verify medication orders accurately.
- Maintain thorough and accurate patient drug records, ensuring compliance with established policies and protocols.
- Supervise and guide pharmacy support personnel, enhancing team efficiency.
- Provide clinical consultations to practitioners, sharing your expertise and knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and engage in quality improvement initiatives, striving for excellence in medication management.
- Educate patients and their families about their medications, fostering understanding and adherence.
- Handle controlled substances responsibly, ensuring adherence to legal and institutional requirements.


Ideal Candidate:


- Holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS Pharmacy degree.
- Is licensed to practice as a pharmacist in Texas.
- Has BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only).
- Brings hospital experience to the table.
- Is IV certified and proficient in using EPIC and Pyxis.

Work Schedule:


- Rotating shifts: 0730-1600, 0800-1630, 1400-2230
